 Al and Katie Brand

 Youth Group Leaders

Al and Katie have been married since May of 2006.  They both grew up in Saint Clair Shores and met at various activities through the church.  They fell in love at a Youth Camping Trip and have been inseparable ever since.  Katie is very creative and enjoys making crafts, taking photographs, and singing.  Al loves wrestling and football.  He is a die-hard Lion's fan.

Al and Katie love kids and have a passion for serving the Lord in any capacity.  Katie is the director of VBS, superintendant of Sunday School, and co-leader of the youth group.  Al helps run the sound board during the worship service as well as co-lead the Youth Group.  They work together to help the teens live a Christian life in a secular world through Bible study, prayer, and accountability.  They build relationships with the teens as well as encourage the teens to build relationships with each other.

                                     Carol Soczewa

Secretary

Carol has attended Community Baptist Church since 1974.  Her husband, John, and she became members in 1980.  She loved growing up in Saint Clair Shores and being near the lake; it's a quiet, comfortable, and friendly community.  On another side, she enjoys camping, crocheting, playing the mountain dulcimer, and spending time with family and friends.

Carol has been the church secretary since January of 1996.  She is also involved with singing on the worship team, teaching scripture memorization at VBS, working in AWANA, and playing with the dulcimer group.  She loves her job because of the creativity it allows her in producing bulletins, calendars, and flyers.  Plus, she feels it is a blessing to work alongside the Pastor.

Who knows...maybe one day when you call the church, she will be able to welcome your call and share with you the love of her job as she serves the Lord.
